KNOXVILLE, TENN., November 13, 2011 – The Knoxville Challenger had a successful last day thanks to the sponsors, participants and fans. There was a doubles final match and a singles final match to end the tournament.
Steve Johnson (USA) and Austin Krajicek (USA) defeated former Vol Adam Hubble (Australia) and Frederik Nielsen (Denmark) in sets 3-6, 6-4, [13-11]. Both sides played with the determination to win, which forced the match into a tiebreaker.
In the singles final match, Florida gator Jesse Levine and Nashville-native Brian Baker fought for the number one spot. Levine won in sets 6-2, 6-3 and took home the grand prize of $7,000.

With 94 tournaments throughout the country and prize money ranging from
$10,000 to $100,000, the USTA Pro Circuit is the pathway to the US Open
and tour-level competition for aspiring tennis players, as well as a

James Blake and Andy Murray are among today's top players who began
their professional careers on the USTA Pro Circuit. The USTA Pro Circuit
is world class tennis administered on the local level and played on local
courts as part of the fabric of communities nationwide.
ABOUT THE KNOXVILLE CHALLENGER
The Challenger Series is a part of the USTA’s Pro Circuit series which is
designed to provide opportunities to aspiring young tennis prodigies to
advance to the top levels of the game. The three current top-ranked
American players, Andy Roddick, James Blake and Mardy Fish all competed in
the Knoxville Challenger as they were climbing the world rankings.
These Challenger level events, hosting national and international players,
take place all around the globe and typically include players ranked between
75 and 250 in the world. These pros will compete for a total purse of
$50,000 in prize money and for ATP ranking points.
